hitec optima 7 won't arm parkzone 20amp esc in Typhoon

I've tried everything I can think of but I cannot get the Parkzone 20amp esc that is in my Parkzone Typhoon 3d to arm. I am running an optima 7 with the 2.4 spectra module in my Royal Evo.

Here is what I have tried (copied from other thread):

I'm having an issue trying to get the speed control inside of a parkzone Typhoon3d (1st version) to arm. It arms fine with the spektrum module in the evo and the spektrum rx. I put the optima 7 into it and verified all the channels and I can't get it to arm when I turn on the typhoon. All the servos move properly and the rx and tx are linked. I moved the esc off the throttle channel and onto an unused channel. I plugged in a servo to the throttle channel and I confirm that it is moving properly with the sticks. I even tried playing with the throttle trim up and down but I couldn't get it to arm. Radio is set to ppm-9.

I also tried two different optima 7's and it won't arm. I found the programming manual for the speed control and there are two settings for the throttle. I put the spektrum back in and programmed it with the first throttle setting and then tried it again with the optima and I couldn't get it to arm. I put the spektrum back in again and programmed it to the 2nd throttle option. I then tried it again with optima and couldn't get it to arm. This isn't good...I've got a number of different speed controls and if I have a problem arming some of them I won't be a happy camper. I tested a phoenix 25 esc and it worked fine with the optima with the same radio setup and channel as the typhoon. For some reason this parkzone 20amp esc does not like the optima.

I've tried trimming throttle all the way up and down, reversing, moving the end points up and down but can't get it working.

I wish my Aurora was here so I could test with that.

thanks,
Brendin

Not sure but it is rated for 4 servos. I have been using it in the typhoon for years. I tried unplugging all the servos and just leaving the esc plugged in to the throttle channel...it didn't make a difference. I could not get it to arm.
