Neu motor mount for Enigma

Iv'e seen some nice motor mounts for Neu 1500 6.7-1 For F5b ships. Does someone have one to sell that would fit an Enigma? I have limited tools to make a proper one. Please pm. if you have something that would work for me.

Thanks,
Ron.

motor mount

I recently had a nice cnc carbon fiber motor mount that I had purchased break in a 3 meter Trinity. I have another of these mounts in my Enigma. They look great and feel great but I don't know that they have the best design. Mine was made from two pieces(front and back) glued together. It was made like this so the screws were completely recessed and the two pieces were different diameters to fit the tapered nose of the plane.
However if these pieces come apart which they did in mine (they seemed to be glued) then you onlyhave half the width of the mount glued to the plane. The screws don't contact the front 50 percent of the mount so the motor is not attached here either. I don't know if I explained this well but I have a few of these premade mounts. I would have prefered the screws not be recessed at all(you dont need this if you recess the whole mount). You can get appropriate sized hole-drilling attachments that help a lot with aircraft grade laminted wood.

I bought one from this guy. Expensive but well worth it.

Mine did not fit... it was to big, but that is because the enigma are molded but the reenforcement is done by hand. Just used a drill and a file to slim it down a little. Perhaps you can measure with a caliper and custom order one.

Ron, I can make you one, but it will not have nice cooling vents. It will, however be made of two sheets of carbon stock.. I'll post pics tonite, I can put in cooling holes, but I they are not pretty, just assortment of holes. Cost is outrageous, because every one I make takes about a year off of my life... which is why $50 + shipping is actually a deal!

Thanks Richard but I'll pass on that one. Just a little rich for my blood. Yup, the carbon stuff is pretty tough on the system. Hmmm, $50.00 for 1 year doesn't make your life worth much huh.

No, but I live dangerously (expected cost of one less year of life by time carbon dust catches up to me is $50)
