This is good news! I may have to give it a go.

What kind of speeds were you trying it at? And what was your success rate? Also, how far did you seem to have to be from the phone?

One last question, did you have to pick the points yourself? Or did it compute the speed automatically?

Thanks for the help!

1: 80-110mph
2:i got 3 out of 5 passes. it will pick up background sounds and other planes.
3: 50 to 75 feet
4: every thing seems to be preset. maybe the next version you will be able to change the settings?

Bought this today.. I'd say.. save your money..

9 passes.. 1 worked.. Registered my 130+mph TL-40 at 125.. Then got several 0mph and 70mph passes..

I wish I didn't waste the $2...

Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I have been playing with this app also with mixed results.

1. it seems to work on slower 3d type aircraft.
2. any wind or outside noise kills it.
3. cannot get a reading on an F5D/F3D model at all.

However I have contacted the guy that made the application and he seems keen to improve it and has asked me to send him some sound files. Unfortunately since then it has been wall to wall rain and gales so i have not been able to help.

May I suggest that others do this as well?

Then hopefully there will be a V2 soon that works better.

Cheers

Rob

Rob-

How did you get in touch with the designer? I'd love to have this program a working item on my phone..

I just followed the link from the info button on my phone to the web site and there is a feedback/contact us link from there.

I got a reply to both my emails within 1 hour

Cheers
