Cx2 flybar mod !

hi all has anyone done or heard of moving flybar to 90 degs to blades and what would the effect be. Never seen this posted so I am asking the question. I have been looking at the ALI head and as I have a lathe the mod looks to be fairly easy. What do you think feel free to chip in. Thanks GLO.

glo,
I know on a sigle rotor head it makes the copter more steady and act as a co ax. I think it would make the response of a co ax even slower and have way less speed on FF. In my opinion, not an effective mod for coaxial. Now if you had a squirlly acting single rotor, swithching to the 45* flybar would help it calm down. But to get more stability you lose agility.

thanks steve. if what you say turns out to be correct. it may well be that you get a heli that does not do much at all, as the top blades may just try and hold things steady, while the bottom blades try to climb all over the place, in which case there could be all kinds of problems inc TBE . Thanks GLO

I think this is a little backwards. I thought the 90 Degree flybar on an FP was replaced by a 45 Degree flybar, like a coax has, to make it more stable? Doing the opposite on a coax will not make it more stable.

KJ,
That is what i said, The 45* flybar will not help the coax, it is used on the single rotor for stability.
