Slinger?
Guys, I posted this in the flying wing section but so far no reply.
I need help! I bought a Slinger from Tower Hobbies and I added 5 1/2" of EBB between the wings. I have never worked with a flying wing before and I have the calculator but I'm unsure about the CG. Could someone help me find the CG. I hate to build something and then throw it only to have it smack hard and break something. Thanks for any help! I want to use it for AP. Carl |

3/8" in front or the original CoG.
Throw it....... Okay that was a guess. |

I typically just run the orignal CG measurement. If you dont have a lifting body center pod I dont believe it would change the CG all that much. Worse come to worse make it a little nose heavy. You can usually fly a nose heavy wing...not the same can be said for a tail heavy wing.
I have found great success with this program (you can run it in english): http://home.arcor.de/d_meissner/schwerp.htm I use this to double check my CG measurements before flying. Its fairly simple to use you might just need to play around with it a bit. Best of luck! Curt |

Quail,
I just picked one of these up as well. Haven't launched it though. I plan on running it as a winter plane. -Tim |

Thanks guys! Several of the guys on the forum have let me know that since the block I put in was square the CG should stay the same. So I guess I'm good to go. I'll set everything up and give the ol' toss thing till it floats real nice. At least I won't break it right off. Once again, Thanks!
