Battery ?'s

Hi,

Been searching around both support forums, but can't find much. I'm a new guy, hopefully about a month from getting airborne.

Looking for some LiPo's, going to put them in a Nexstar Mini. 3S 11.1v, 1250-2000 mah. I'm looking everywhere for size & weight of the fusion power series, but can't find anything. Want to make certain that it will fit.

Also wondering what sort of connectors are attached, can't find anything either. I've tried search, sorry if it's been up 1000 times before, too many hits to sift.

Cheers,

GB.

Hi Goat Boy, the size is pretty common on most of the batteries but some need to be flipped on their side to go into the battery box. If your heli is a 450 most of them have a platform to lay the battery on. Just take some Velcro and put it on the battery and the platform. Use rubber bands to secure it as precaution.

The industry standard seems to be the Deans Ultra Plug on batteries larger than 7.4v. The 7.4v batteries tend to use JST plugs.

On some sites the batteries come without any plug at all in an attempt to make it look like the battery is inexpensive so you'll buy their brand. Most folks just lay in a supply of Deans plugs in their field box to take care of such batteries. No matter if you chose 3.5mm Bullet Connectors or Deans Plugs its adviseable to keep half a dozen of them on hand.

Check the forums at Xheli and you'll find more up to date postings than what I've seen here!
