What are the benefits of the upgrade?
The bugs and problems resulting from this latest "upgrade" have been obvious. Some have already been fixed, and hopefully more will be resolved in due course.
But can anyone tell me what benefits or improvements have resulted from it? I've tried to find something that is better or significantly different from the way things were before, but I just haven't seen anything. I ask this in all seriousness. I honestly would like to know what I'm missing here. |

So far, I've noticed:
1) Multi-Quote 2) Recent Warnings List (maybe not important to those of you who never get points )3) Option for WYSIWYG editor 4) Auto-subscribe (not sure if this was in the last version, but I didn't have it turned on. Now when I create a thread or post s reply, I'm automatically subscribed (no email notification)). |

Apart from that I can't see any significant improvements. I mainly dislike the Discussion/ Question/ Cool etc icon shown in the Last Post column in My RCGroups. It is just distracting, without adding any value (true everywhere of course). Neil. |

I have not discovered any real benefit yet, to this upgrade. Admittedly, my needs are meager and I am not easily amused by the 'eye candy' and trivial little features that seem to enthrall many other users. |

I believe the WYSIWYG Editor (which I never used) and Auto-Subscribe were there before, so nothing about them has changed for me. The way it looks right now, I think Mike K. did a great job of getting things back to what we're used to seeing while giving us a few features we didn't have before. The only minor complaint I have is that it would have been nice to do all of that ahead of time, but perhaps that wasn't possible for some reason. |

I apologize for drifting on topic, but what are the benefits of the upgrade?

I see now there's a little arrow next to the name of the person being quoted that takes you directly to the post the quote came from.
Looks like it even works with quotes taken from other threads. |

Here's another new feature: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...66&postcount=8
You can now mix text and uploaded images together in a post instead of having all the attached images appear together at the end. |

But that (and maybe Multi quotes) seem to be the only "improvements" so far. Perhaps when the dust settles and he has time to breathe again, Mike K could enlighten us. |

Or maybe we could all add what we discover to this thread like I'm doing.

I'm still looking, but not finding much... but then I was comfortable with the buttons I used to push... they all still exist.... so I'm good.

Also add this one: try double-clicking the portion of the thread list where your own thread title resides. It works only in the forums, not in My RCGroups or in the subscribed thread list.

I'd truly like to try but I just can't figure out what this means. I must be in super-dense mode today.

Well, a picture is worth a thousand words...
Edit: it should be "double click here". In fact you can double click anywhere in that table cell, just not on the thread title itself. |
