Working on Ming's Douglas Dauntless:

www.windrider.com.hk

I've got the EPO version. This model is a work of art - lots of scale details, including retracts. I'll be trying a few detailing methods on this one including adding rivet details using the Dave Platt method of alaphatic glue. Thousands of dots of glue.

This model will be 99% PSS and may get the occasional flight from the club field.

Glenn
why can't I leave a model stock????

Thanks Glen, your fault!
Nauga, the pilot is the good old macfarlene helicopter crew chief. Got the idea from Brian Koesters build. Took abit of sourcing but managed to get one.
Bring on the panel lines!

Very subtle panel lines on this one Steve.

It was kept in very good condition.

As you can see by the photos, the most obvious things on this aircraft are the stencils and texture changes due to access panels etc.

Maybe, but the first thing that caught my eye was a pair of AIM-9's. Way to make the best of what you've got!

Nauga,

PC9 is looking sweet.

Did the breather holes work? What's the next step in securing the skin to the foam?

Yep, they let the blister down but there is still some deformation. I'm gunna take ZIPPER's advice and inject epoxy into the holes and suck it down.

I might start another thread because it seems I am near to hijacking this one. I will just stick a finished photo in here when it's done .
