It was more like a little over 3 feet but that is still 150% of the stated depth that the sub can go.

One thing with the U-16 the deeper it gets, the closer you need to be to the sub, the 27 MHz transmitter is not that powerful. The water really interferes with the single.

For it being a mass produced product. It has been the most reliable RC thing I have bought, I have been very lucky with it.

It does not have a "made in" stamp on it so I'm assuming it is made in Germany since the company is located in Germany. The Germans do know how to make good submarine.

And I would encourage anyone to get it.
