Thunder AC6 Problem

I bought the Thunder AC6 from hobbypartz.com last week. Just received this charger in the mail today. Hooked up my Turnigy 5000 mah 2s Lipo after setting it up to charge at 5 amps. Hit the button and it gave me a message N****R or ERR message. I had to take photo's because noone would believe me. Anyways I did some research and found over at rcuniverse someone had the same problem, and they had to reduce the amps to get a successful charge (and I think they were doing 3s Lipo). Anyways, I was able to charge them at 4 amps (4 charges today, one cycle I was able to put at 5 amps). Now I got back home and I am now only able to charge them at 3 amps. Keep getting the same error.

So here's my question. What's wrong with my charger? Racial slurs and not charging at 5 amps isn't cutting it. I got a race this weekend...

Had a break through. I got to thinking. I thought the included power cord plug wasn't delivering enough voltage to the charger. So, I pulled out an old power supply and hooked it up through that. 12v 5a max output power supply. Guess what! I think that's what my problem was. Because now I can charge my battery at 5 amps. So far so good!

Seems to be still charging at 5 amps. *Pats self on back* If anyone else has this problem, reevaluate the power supply. Wanna say thanks for all the help. But I won't, since I fixed this myself.

When this charger doesn't get enough voltage, it says racist remarks like this.

So are you saying it's best to go to a 12v dc source opposed to using its on board AC power?

Yes Smokin Joes. At least with the charger I received, I have to use an external power supply to charge my batteries at 5 amps. Or it gives me that error seen above.
It works good now that I have done that.

I'm sorry about the error msg and I'm sure you know by now that ppl from china can't spell and they don't proof read their products.

The charger is rated max at 50Watt so that's the max power it can handle.

if you are charging a 3 cell the match is 50/11.1 = 4.5A is your max current.

If you want to charge at 5A you need to go 7.4V
