Building a scale landing gear for my cub1/6
Hi All!!
I've just finished to build a scale landing gear like "robart" for a 1/6 peper cub, because they don't sell it.... It weights 127gr. I guess if it is a good weight and iif my piper can flight with it attached???. the motor is a power 32 e-flite with (770kv) with 4s2500 Lipo Batt. Please send any suggestrions. KRegards. Kike |

Have you brazed the parts together or are they soldered? If soldered, they may not take the stress of landings. One other approach in case you have problems, buy the 1/4 scale Robart gear and modify it to fit you smaller model, usually only requires a minor amount of cutting and re-brazing.

Hi SteveR,
The joints was made with my soldering iron, rosin core solder and then with fibber-glass and epoxi. The picture in detail are 2 pieces that are not fixed, they slide and this movement is stopped by the o-ring. Thankss for the tip Kike. |

 Oh, I am confused the word sailplane with glider.... I don't think copper tubing are not strong enough. The Robart version are made of steel. Brian, an EAJ |
