Art-Tech F-18

Greetings!
Here is my Art-Tech F-18 with Don's Wicked 4800kv motor, Pentium 40amp ESC and Balanced EDO fan unit. It's not even the same plane anymore! Hand launches are a breeze and it climbs out of sight in no time.
Much, much better! Thanks Don!

Newest Edition

This is my Vasa F-5.I used my ole reliable BI3600 but instead of a 70mm fan, this jet would only take a 64mm.I happen to have a 64mm housing that accepted the motor, and cut down a HET 6904 70mm rotor down to 64mm.The result is 825 watts at 49 amps!Test flew it today and it all went perfect,in the 110-120mph range,I will get video next time to verify that. This jet has no intake ducting, but that did not hurt performance to much I guess, there is a CF wing tube joiner running inside so any attempt to install a duct would be a pain! Anyways, here are some pictures.

AMX EDF Jet on Don's Wicked 4800Kv

Here are some in-flight photos of my AMX EDF jet powered by a Wicked 4800Kv motor. Don dynamically balanced the 64mm fan unit which I purchased with the motor. The fan runs as smooth as silk with absolutely 0 vibration, it's by far my smoothest running and best-sounding EDF powered model. Total power draw on the 5-blade 64mm fan is 41 Amps WOT. Top speed is approximately 85-90mph, nearly twice as fast as the stock AMX setup.

The passes in the middle and towards the end were in the 118-122mph range assuming a temp of 20C
