Old System, not New System!!!

I want the old system back and I know I'm not the only person who thinks this.

Change is inevitable, except from vending machines.

Or, even better: The more things change, the more they'll never be the same.

I embrace change when it is not needless; when the needless is forced upon me I can be very rude, if not menacing. I don't mind many features on the new system, but I do mind some that are needlessly ridiculous--for example the new Notifications and Friends.

A wild majority in the Discussion Groups are not going to vote here simply because they are resigned to not speaking out. Or they simply don't visit this section of the Discussion Groups.

I have said this in another thread that I copied from another like-minded Discussion Groups participant, and I will paraphrase it here without resignation:

Leave out the crap and unnecessary modernizations, and don't make this site like another FaceBook display.

There's no harm in RCGroups.com upgrading. Worst case scenario is that someone else will come up with a better, more user friendly site, and most people will slowly migrate to that site. RCG will be around (even if it looks like Facebook - as used in example above) for legacy postings and evolution will take a very familiar path:

IBM -> Microsoft -> Google

I know about the Friends but what did you mean by the Notifications?
