Limit EX mini slope rocket

First time out with my limit-EX built from plans by Julian Beckett. This is the second flight, filmed by my son. The weathers crap, seems to come with the wind lately.

It's one fun little plane. I can't believe I let it sit for 10 months unflown after building!!

Enjoy

Your son did a great job of filming. It's Fast! Great flying, the landing, well...
"Now you see now you don't!" Was it O.K. after the landing?

My son is getting good at keeping my planes in frame.
Yes it's a little rocket! and yep, the landing was a bit hot!
I overflew where I normally try and land, and it drops away steeper. Luckily the bushes have a nice undercut so it only slid into longer grass.
No damage at all when it slid in. Being only 200 grams helps, it just has no energy! It does lose a lot of speed fast and the loops are something I need to work on. I'm used to heavier planes that haul themselves around, this one I need to just get it around.

Codec used is H264 opulan.
You can just download a K-lite codec pack and any format you play seems to run after that. This whole codec thing can be very frustrating sometimes

If you don't know what particular codec is needed for a video, you can use GSpot It lets you know it's makeup.

As far as the setup goes, I used a AAA pack in the nose, one central wing mounted servo with torque rods, a corona rx, and the servo for the elevator is mounted near the LE of the main wing. I also fitted a LMA, as it's a tiny thing and I know I'll struggle to find it in thick bush!

I'll take a couple of photos of the "guts" tomorrow for you, it's just gone midnight here

From memory, and the marks I put on the wing, it's 55mm from the LE, but check post 25 of this thread. The plans with the correct wing ribs have been posted by r/c junkie.

The roll rate is as fast as you want it to be! I turned the high rates down a bit after the first flight as it was plain silly

Still haven't flown it again yet, work and wind seem to come on the same days lately.....

I've just finished mine last week. I'm still waiting for the right circumstances to fly it on the slope but the test-chucks on the beach made me very happy!
