MPX Evo 2.4 in the US We could perhaps made a petition

Sorry to wake up this old story but would I thing it would be interesting to show Hitec/Mpx the real volume of 2.4 stuff they can sold on the US market.

I can understand that the Evo-9 can make direct concurrence to the Aurora but look some of us use more than 9 channels....

On my side I fly scale glider with my EVO-12 and it's not uncommon to need 10+ channels if we don't want to use Y-cable, matchbox or other devices.

My message is if MPX bring 2.4 on the us market I will for sure buy the module, I will also for sure buy 3-4 2.4 ghz receivers ( and not the small one) then I will also perhaps buy a spare radio... and also send the radio for the 2.62 upgrade which is not free ( if I'm right).

I really have some problem understanding the fact that MPX don't want to pay for FCC because the market is not there. Look at all those threads converting EVO radio to spektrum or other 2.4 systems.

Is Jetti not applying for FCC certification... why is ExtremLink also market a 2.4 module if the market is not there.

Why don't you buy from Europe?

For US use, it would be nice if the equipment was FCC certified.

It would also be nice to get service and parts locally.

Also, I understand that US allows higher power output than some European countries.

And we'd be happy to see more Evos and Cockpits being purchased in the US. This is unlikely to happen if Multiplex radios aren't on some hobby shop shelves.

Some US users will probably purchase 12 (or 16) channel Multiplex 2.4 equipment from Europe. Modules, rcvrs, maybe even trannies.

There may also be Spektrum modules specifically designed for Evo 12s sold in Europe, some of which may make their way to US users. (How soon?)

I'm wondering which Evo option will be more popular in the US.

I'm personally tempted by the Spektrum option as the rcvrs will be available locally, including a wider variety of configurations. I'm disappointed by Hitec/Multiplex support for the future of the Evo in the US. This might change if they (H/M) made some interesting announcements.

Like Thierry, I like to have 10, 11 and 12 channels available.
