The W4800 in the stock fans will pull about 38 amps so those lipos will be fine.

Redlite,
Don posted this back at post 155. "Here is my official control throws and CG: Elevator: 25mm up and down Aileron: 15mm up and down CG at the back of the plastic receiver cage Don" Last edited by dLdV; Oct 27, 2009 at 05:01 PM. |

Thanks Don, for the battery info.
Thanks Lloyd, this'll help. I'll post here on SR progress. Had to get the TX manual out for mixing the whale tail. It's slaved to the elevator now and only moves on that command. Worth the head scratching. Tested the video out, also works fine..... Cheers (another) Joe Last edited by redlite; Oct 27, 2009 at 03:12 PM. |

Hello SR drivers;
Here is an update on my Don's Wicked powered SR.... RSO out and speed sensor in..... Installed a pitot tube from Eagle Tree Systems, works either standalone or with any eLogger, mine is standalone. Gives highest speed achieved for each flight after landing. Weighs in at 13 grams for the whole system pictured here. Will be powered off the reciever. LED readout can be seen through RSO window. The airlines are silicone tubing that run thru the wheelwell and into the cockpit....how could I say no? $50, includes shipping.... Just recieved Don's motors/ESC's so I can quit fooling around..... |

Thank you Joe...after the rudder's are in, I'll post the details with photo's. These are going to be conventional instead of 'full flying' like the prototype. Full flying is too flimsy of a design for foam going 85mph....just MHO and to be a bit safety minded...fiberglassed fins might solve the potential for flutter in the full flyer design, what do you think?.....still, it would look very cool, someone else maybe could pick up this gauntlet.....

Rudders are done. Blue Arrow 4.3g servo's do the work. Pockets were cut then gouged out with an exacto #11. The foam is thick here so the servo is not intruding inside the thrust tube. A shot of flat black paint will hid them.. Y'd to the nose wheel steering servo...mixed with the elevon's...now on to final wiring....
