I just came across this site (blog?). It's quite extensive - especially enjoyed the 1930s-1960s model plane competition video (and it's frightening that I can remember some of that era...).
In case you've missed it... http://video.thehobbyguy.tv/video/Mo...-from-the-1930 |

Am I allowed a commercial slot?
the new GAD and Replikit shop development site, featuring all the Replikits, and a few more goodies. Written and maintained largely by yours truly. Hope to add free downloads in the distant future to make it a useful repository for all (legal) free plans. www.blackandwhite-models.com |

Phil Smth's plan list for Mercury, Keilkraft and Veron plans
Hello everyone,
there has been several references to Phil Smith and the plans he provides from the old Mercury , Keilkraft and Veron kits. I spoke to him recently and he agreed to me scanning his list and putting it up on the web - he does not have a web site. In fact he provides this plan service more as a service to like minded modellers and as a result his prices are very reasonable. Because it is not run as a business, there are no credit card or paypal facilities. Payment is by sterling cheques on a british bank or international money order. A phone call to Phil will clear this as well as any points you have re ordering a plan. He will also scale up/down to suit within limitations of the printing service. He also includes a copy of the patterns for formers and ribs etc. His address is on the lists and I have also written in his phone no. on some pages. please note we are in the UK and if phoning Phil from outside the UK remember the time differences. I hope this is of help to those modellers like myself who always wanted to build some of the old kits but had neither the time or the money in those days. Regards John |
