Well sorry I wasn't sure what you meant there, not much made me feel any better in that post Anyway, HC or HK whatever reinstated the backorder so at least I'll probably get something for my money. I'm too wore out with it to insist on a refund.

Like previous posts in this thread, I would recommend keeping detailed notes on orders with them. Thier information system does not seem up to the standards most of us are used to. I had to provide them with all the information because they couldn't seem to locate it easily. I'm sure I'll buy from them because they are really cheap. But you have to keep more information on your side and watch everything carefully or you will probably have problems. And like someone else noted - never make any changes unless absolutly necessary.

Some would say you should expect really poor service since the prices are low? No I don't expect that but that's the reality of it so I'll deal with it. I do believe they are honest people dealing with a really poor information system. In my opinion. Hopefully I'm right about that.

I have placed and work with others that have placed many orders and the only problem I have ever had was a cracked 450 class FG canopy. At $4:50 it's not worth worrying about and was easy to fix. Other than that I have had nothing but superb, ontime delivery and perfect service. I guess i read stuff before I hit "continue".

I am amazed on a daily basis at the lengths people go to to squeeze every cent of value out of an already bled dry stone.

Oh and I have another friend who cancelled a bearcat order because it went out of stock between hitting continue and paypal confirmation. The "total lack of" Hobbycity support team emailed within 30 mins and offered to refund to paypal at the same AUD rate as it was taken at, cent for cent and true to their word the money was there within and hour.

Jason and team... keep up the good work guys.

I don't expect perfect customer service from Hobby King. They are in Hong Kong and while their customer service people that handle English speaking people may speak English, Their comprehension may not be that great. Glad you got something worked out.

Well I'm definetly not an apologist for Hobbyking. I think they have seroius problems but the prices are good enough to deal with it. And the one item that held up the order several months ago is still backordered so it may be some time before I get anything. I definetly wouldn't put up with that if they were a US company with US prices.

Anyway this thread is more for people that are having problems with HK and need advice on how to deal with it and how to avoid those problems. Everybody else that has warm fuzzies for HK great, but I've met a lot more people that have had problems with HK than any other retailer I can think of so It's not really a low incidence of problems. I tend to not trust businesses that I have to reall ALL the fine print with. we gamble for the low price, that's it.

I'm glad if you've been lucky so far and not expected them to have the same standards most of us are used to. Some of us didn't expect that right off the bat. Why did they have the cancel order button in the first place? I notice they now have a note not to cancel orders :0

one thing i have to say about HC is that if something is out of stock they tell you.

I recently ordered a replacement fuselage for a mini ultrastick from Red Rocket hobby shop, and they told me it was in stock when i ordered it, but then 3 days later sent me a friendly note saying it was backordered. It took them a month to get it to me, and the price wasn't cheap either. The reason i ordered from them was because they were the only place that supposedly had it in stock and i wanted it fast. Oh well, live and learn.

Now yes, it's really annoying when something on hobbycity is out of stock for months and months. For example, i've been trying to order a 100A HV esc for soooo long, but it's still out. if it isn't here in a couple of weeks i'm gonna order one somewhere else. but i still cant afford the lipos from anywhere else, so i'll have to get them there.

I feel for those who loose moneybut, if I lost a package from hobbycity 1 in 5 times I would still be miles ahead on prices. Take the better shipping option, pay with paypal and all is well.
Long live Hobbycity!!!!

Wow what negotiations skills..... You just told HC tha'st it ok to lose or mess up orders because the prices are good. Nice. Good prices on items you never recieve are not good. And the reality is that you will be pissed when it happens to you too. Mark my words.... whaaaa haaah haaah. I'll be laughing then. I'm just kidding, but sort of not
