Good point! Buying from UH definitely needs some planning. Never buy just one. But lets say you buy four batteries. $24. Shipping slow -- add $10. Shipping faster -- add $20. So for $44, you'd have them for $11 each. I usually buy other stuff in any given order -- props, servos, whatever -- which brings the shipping/item cost down.
If you do it right, the lower costs far outweigh the extra $'s you pay for shipping. The other main thing to think about -- even with the "fast" method -- it's still not that fast. If you need something that quickly, visit your LHS! JMHO. |

Thanks for the info James. I'll probably just pick up a TP at SEFF.

James -- I forgot to tell you -- a friend of mine has your Micro SS and is having great fun with it. I got to fly it too -- nice plane! He has a biplane coming and I may end up with a 3DX before long! Keep up the great work!

I wanted to get the maiden done this weekend, but Friday was WAY too windy.... Saturday was great weather, but I worked at Hodges from 730AM till 930 PM... Today was Easter, and I had to spend it doing the family stuff.... Hopefully I can get it done by this weekend... I KNOW It will be done by SEFF.... I'll be there with my fleet of Millennium planes to fly!

Wow! I forgot to give a flight report.
I probably have about 20 or do flights on the plane by now, and I love it! Flies much like the micro SSx, but seems to be a little more made for manuvers involving the rudder. I still have mine a little tail heavy, and it likes to climb while inverted. It also has some bad coupling in knife - edge, but I think that is a result of being tail heavy. All in all, a good quick easy build and a blast to fly. |

Also, I need to mention that I found an issue with my micro 3dx last weekend. It may heve been addressed in the instructions, so if I missed it and it has been addressed, just tell me to shut up.
When I was getting the plane ready for flight, I noticed that the left wing seemed a little loose, and did not hold tight to the fuselage. Upon further investigation, I found that the CF wing tube had vibrated around till it was almost completely in the right wing. This left only about 3/8" of the tube sticking out into the left wing. If I had flown it, the flight would have been short and the crash spectacular... I would suggest gluing a small piece of scrap over the open end of the aluminum tube the CF slides into. Or, slightly crimp the ends after inserting in the wing rib. That would prevent the CF from sliding out. |

I have been playing around with the coupling issue also. I have moved the horizontal stab up 1/4". I have not tested it yet. However, all kits are shipping with the fix. James |

![]() I almost have all the coupling mixed out of it, and I can almost do a KE loop with it! However, my skills are such that almost is all I can manage |

This little plane is a gas! ...was laying down some airybatics all through NEAT with it. Trying to decide if torque rolls with tail touches or KE spins are my favorite... so much fun though. Makes me giggle every time I fly it.
![]() Here's a pic of hovering it at NEAT (it's hard to get scenery in the background when you're almost looking straight down ).
