Hello all. First post at rcgroups.

I bought this bladerunner rescue at RS yesterday, and it sure is fun. I was wondering If I could use my old Wild Wheels helicopter charger for this heli? it is apparently 6v and 650mah. I just hate spending so much $$ on the charger.

BLASPHEY, I tell you, just plain blasphemy! That idea is akin to putting a Ford 6-cylinder engine a Chevy Corvette ! On the serious side, you are better off sticking to the charger that was intended to be used on your particular unit. There are so many variables that can make them incompatible that it's not really worth taking a chance. For example, is the polarity of the plug correct for your machine? Is the center post of the output cord the same diameter as your charging jack? & Etc., Etc.

One of the problems with the clones is the ripper-offers made so many things about their product different from the Bladerunner, thinking those changes would make them different enough from the BR, to avoid using BR equipment for replacement parts, when in fact there are NO parts available from the toy factory. They thought they were different enough from the BR as to get by with cloning. Strange thing is, they ALL used Petter's PATENTED rotor hub system, with no changes! It's the patented hub that makes the BR different from all other heli rotor drive systems.

If you are fairly sharp with electronics, you can adapt most any wall wart to fit any application, as long as you don't make ANY mistakes - it only takes a momentary contact to fry several dollars'
worth of electronic circuitry.

I guess you're right. Don't want to risk it. I'll just go ahead and use the supplied charger. Do you think any rechargeable C batteries would work,if they exist?

bladerunner rescue heli. gift for christmas. used it for 10 mins on christmas day, boxing day went to use it + the light on the heli flashes + the light on the controller flashes but nothing happens. are both supposed to flash? and is that the reason nothing is happening, the heli is fully charged + controller has the 9v duracel.
please help

Got one for christmas....bladerunner rescue heli....flies great right out of the box. I must have 15 flights on it now and it still flies great. I like it much better than the squirelly Piccoo Z I have. I know it's a toy and that's why I'm so forgiving of it when It gets out of whack and crashes. But I know how to avoid that now after flying it for a while.

I have an extreme rescue spider man3 heli with no prop on tail. I'm tempted to try a few things and am wondering what you guys think.

Can one of the wise ones please tell me if it's a good idea to:

a) use the guts, motors, battery and TX from an MSL in my BR? Seems like a serious upgrade for power and may require more weight on the body to help harness that?

b) use the motors from an MSL and keep the rest stock?

c) same as b) but switch the original battery with that from an MSL. Would I still be able to use the stock BR charger to charge the batt from my MSL?

Some suggetsions on this topic would be appreciated.

I've removed the body and greased this baby up, tweeked the blades and I can't believe the difference it has made. I was speechless as my jaw hit the floor as it ran so smoothly and oh so quietly.....like a totally different machine.

After reading every post from all three parts of the original thread, I can see that this little heli is a gem, perfect for indoors.

I have an extreme rescue spiderman 3 bladerunner heli, it is not the smaller version, it is the bigger version......it is the red body one, not the blue body one.

I've searched and searched and I can't find it....

What is the rating on the lipo for this heli?? Does anyone know? I would really appreciate the help in this. I've tried a 3.7V 350mah and it is still not enough juice. I'm scared to fry it so I need to get it right.

Please help me out if you can.
