As far as I can tell, the document you are referring to is a map of the actual field at the AMA. Are you saying the club voted to make our field layout like the AMA field? If so, my apologies, I missed that. The only field recommendation I know of was the one Rick brought to the meeting which was designed before the land was even prepped. I don't remember a vote on the field layout at that meeting, so I must have missed the meeting you are referring to. There will certainly be much more work and money involved in the construction and setup of the new field if the document you referred to is what the club has decided to build.

My Mistake. Here is the correct document:

http://www.modelaircraft.org/documents.aspx document 706

The distances marked off by Rick and I using the AMA's "Recommended RC Flying Site Specifications" were presented to and voted upon by the membership. The layout is really not that much different from Little field but we took avantage of the additional space and followed the AMA's setback recommendations. The biggest change was to place the pilot stations closer to each other so you could hear form the 1st to the last station.

What needs to be decided is the the flow of vehicular traffic into the pit area (to load/unload aircraft and equipment) and present and future structure placement.

John,

Please do not let the actions of one completely miserable member ruin your efforts. You have to just ignore his worthless posts.

I for one and very glad we have such dedicated members as you that choose to input so much time and effort for the better of the club. I am not in favor of everything as written but know it is just a starting point. Your efforts are providing the basis for a solid future of the club. Please continue your efforts. 99% of the membership favors your effort and dedication.
