Pari Tech

Anyone ever purchase a sailplane from this German company? Any comments on quality and value?

TIA,

Steve

Steve, I haven't purchased from them (yet), but Pari-tech resulted from a merger of Bruno Rihm, a well known name in scale sailplane circles, with another partner, so it's not exactly a "new, unknown kid on the block".

The models enjoy a very good reputation in Germany.

Thanks Michael, it always amazes me that our little niche hobby can support so many companies. There's quite a few folks in the Paritech photo, and German labor does not come cheap!

Thank goodness there's no more room in my hanger,

Well, their main business is building composite components for military reconossaince drones, the model sailplane business, is probably only a quite minor part of their overall business.

Steve I am a patternmaker with over 14 years in industry and I can honstly say that from what I have seen that there quality and processes are first rate and as such there high price reflects that. I just got a quote of over $4000 Euro for there DG 1000 + this and that , thats $5600 Australian dollars + postage.....ouch

Thanks guys, I guess it's nice to know there's always something else to aspire to. I will be going to Germany on business in January and Paritech is an hour outside of Frankfurt, might just take a quick trip there to see their operation. Will leave all credit cards back at the hotel!
