I discovered a slope site in town.
Over looking the valley at the bottom of 5th Ave, Newton Park. Works with a SW wind, but need atleast 15kts to come alive. There is a small grass pavement to land on and the valley is easily accessable should your plane end up down there (I have been down there a few times). Plenty of thermals over the valley if you are brave enough to venture away from the slope. Avoid the gulley to the right, if you are low and slow it will suck you in! Few nasty rotors to the left, better to stay high and clear of them. |
