New ESC's for high powered EDF

Hi guys

After spending the last 6 years perfecting EDF performance, DynexHobby have been busy partnering with APD to release a new line of super light, high powered electronic speed controllers for EDF. These ESC's come in two varieties 120A and 200A. So what is so special about these ESC?

- Deliver high power to your EDF without sag.
- They are the smallest & lightest ESC for power output on the market.
- Low cost.
- These ESC's have an advanced machine learning feature. It learns your motor configuration just by connecting to a battery and running the EDF. You don't need to program your motor details at all!
- They automatically accept any LiPo’s up to 12S (120A ESC) or 14S (200A ESC). No programming required.
- 32Khz switching.
- Powerful 32bit F3 processing power.
- Motor reverse using ESC onboard solder tab. No longer will you have to physically swap the motor wires to change direction!

Please visit our webstore for more details at http://dynexhobby.ashop.me/c/4616694...mium-escs.html

Note: Our ESC's have been programmed to work with EDF's out of the box.

and of course, if you need to balance your fans check out our Impulse 2 dynamic balancer

Regards

DH

Sounds like a dream come true if it's true, where is the flying action video? Models don't fly with out the wings. I want to see it in action!

I want 1 of each! I've paid $380USD for CC 160A ESC's in the past, so I think that these are reasonably priced. I know the multirotor guys use APD ESC's and they're a great performer.

Do you have a 16-18S special order option? What are the dimensions? What is the weight? Did I read that it has free wheeling? Can I reverse the rotation from a free channel in my radio? I see the price is right. Please answer these questions for both ESCs.

Thanks,
Scott

here is a high performance thread:

Will your ESC’s come ready to run with caps, throttle lead, motor and battery leads and flashed with the correct software?
Current quad copter ones aren’t.
Here is the other thread on them:

Nope! All that is needed is to place the ESC in the ducted airflow. This is a new breed of ESC, it uses high-speed processing and propriety software to pump power efficiently to the EDF. However its not recommended to place heatshrink wrap over the ESC, but you can coat it with a polyurethane conformal coating.

Hi Scott

Maximum of 12S for 120A and 14S for 200A.
Dimensions for 120A (70mm ◊ 30mm ◊ 20 mm) and Dimensions for 200A (73mm ◊ 34mm ◊ 20 mm)
Weight 120A = 20grams (0.7 oz) and 200A = 36grams (1.27 oz), without leads.
Reverse rotation only when setting up ESC, so can't trigger by free channel. However you have me thinking ...
Yeah price is great for that kind of performance.

Hi ex-racer

The ESC's come with caps. We don't supply throttle, motor and battery leads as there are endless motor/battery configurations to cater for EDF Jets, so it's far easier for the modeller to use their own .

These ESC's have been flashed to work with standard radios out of the box. They can also be upgraded when new firmware is released.
