Words of wisdom from Ken Reilly

Hey Folks,

It's been quite awhile since I was on this Springer site. It appears that it's been pretty active.

When I heard about Ken Reilly's passing, it felt like I was punched in the stomach. I didn't know he'd left us.

I read about the Ken Reilly Memorial Regatta and all that and it made me pretty sad all over again. I think I "knew" Ken but I'd never heard him speak, never exchanged email with him -- just chatted by snail mail now and again.

At any rate, I once asked Ken for some help getting my Springer started and he sent me a huge package with a video of Springers in action, photos of a lot of boats and plans, and instructions and more stuff than you can imagine. But, you know, he sent me a hand-written primer on building that I'd like to share with any "newbies" who might be interested and there might be some tips in there for anyone interested in building a Springer or two.

Here you go. Bet there's something in here for everyone.

Fair Winds,

John Terrell
