Almost...

I’m so close…. I’ve attached pictures of my build. It really went quickly and wasn’t that hard at all. Here is what I have done so far. I’ve mixed the rudder to throttle both set at -100% (negative) and it starts up just like your video Carlyle again except my top rotor doesn’t spin as fast when I turn the CX as yours did. My gyro was oriented wrong with the pot adjustment screw on the outside instead of the inside like you mentioned. I can fly it around the house fine now.

BUT…. I have to give it several clicks of right trip to keep it from spinning. It’s not uncontrollable but it does spin to the left. After trimming the rudder it flies okay. I don’t feel that “locked in” feeling. If I give it full rudder then stop, it doesn’t really stop. But the main problem is when I land. Because I have given it several clicks of right rudder, when I land the top rotor continues to spin and if I keep the trim where it is and plug in a new battery, the top rotor again continues to spin.

I don’t think the inner shaft is binding, and don’t really notice the top rotor spinning slowly, I’ll put a tach on it later and see. It just seems that the top rotor needs more than 100% mixing of the throttle. I’m sure it has to be something with my gyro, but I have no experience with them.

My “stock” CX weighed in at 177.2g and after all that aluminum bling my brushless CX only comes in at 144.4g so I saved 32.8g of weight!

Carlyle, what are the settings on your CC’s? Mine are: fixed-heli, soft-cutoff, standard advance, and I think everything else is default.
