Carlyle, I was going to suggest remixing to compensate for the drops/climbs in the turns. I’m sure with a couple more battery packs and you will have it dialed in perfectly. I’ve done about all I can do until I get another CC10 and that Futaba Gyro.
I did plug in the CC10 to the receiver and made note of the wire configuration so the brushless motors will spin the correct way when I solder everything up. Since I am using an early version of the 3-in-1 from Eflight I had to remove the little black plastic piece that connected the receiver to the 3-in-1. There is another one that looks like it is in the rudder channel.
It might be my imagination, but it seems that the lower rotor gear might be rubbing up against the spacer on the brushless motor to the upper rotor. The gears have grease on them so it might have been spraying it on the spacer, but looking at the photographs it is a tight fit. The lower rotor also seems more difficult to spin by hand, but it may have always been like that and I never noticed.
It is beginning to look like a helicopter. It will be a long wait for the 2nd CC10 and gyro.
