My Brushless CX Day 1:

Looking at some of the previous posts, it seems that I will not need a V-Tail mixer as I have a Futaba Super 8U. I ordered two motors from Don at http://www.strongrcmotors.com/ and they arrived yesterday. My "stock" blade CX weighs in at 177.2 grams. One stock motor weighs in at 32.7 g and the motor from Don weights 9.1g!!! I'm going to save 47.2 grams in the motors alone!

I wish I would be finishing this up quickly, but I only have one esc right now and its a thunderbird 9. Why would I want to use a phoenix 10? or a 9 & 10 or two 10s? The Phoenix 10s are twice as expensive as the 9s.

I have attached some pics of the motor install. I thought because I was converting it to brushless that I would bling it up a bit and ordered a new frame.
