Guys, I can't say enough good things about Tony's trainer. To the degree I've flown this plane, I totally agree with his write-up. This is a very gentle flyer that seems incredibly durable.
The only difficulty I had with the BB was self-induced. On the maiden flights I found myself giving it far too much power. The BB likes to fly slowly and has excellent lift, so it only requires a little throttle.
The monobloc is a great innovation. I've yet to crash the BB (that's only because I gave it to a friend after a few flights), but it looks to me like the bloc will greatly increase the longevity of the plane in the hands of a new flyer. It also makes for a quick, easy build. This plane goes together fast.
I think the only place I deviated from the design is by making the fuse wider. No reason except that I wanted to make it look a little more scale.
I have a few more details and build pix beginning on post 174 of Tony's SE5a thread (another great monobloc plane!).
If you're looking for a good trainer, this is definitely a winner.
PS I have another BB in the works for a second friend.
