I am TWO CONTROL RODS away from completing my split elevon, StrongRC brushless motor SL. It took me well over an hour just searching through these forums. I finally came across this thread that explained it for me.

I setup my Futaba Super8 in acro mode like this:
Ch1 Elevon Servo
Ch2 Elevon Servo
Ch3 Right BL Motor
Ch4 ---not used----
Ch5 Left BL Motor
PMix1 Ch3 --> Ch5 (enables the throttle to control both motors)
PMix2 Ch4 --> Ch3 (enables the rudder to control the right motor)
PMix3 Ch4 --> Ch5 (enables the rudder to control the left motor)
I only had one teeny problem, PMix1. Ch5 (the left motor) needed to be reversed and I didn’t know it. I plugged in the battery, making sure that my transmitter throttle was all the way down. I heard both ESCs sing their little melody, except one kept beeping. (I know some of you are laughing right now) I slowly advanced the throttle and the right motor slowly sped up, but the left motor did nothing. I went to full throttle and the right motor screamed, but the left motor still did nothing, and the beeping stopped. BUT when I brought the throttle back down the left motor BEGAN TO SPEED UP! I couldn’t stop both engines. I had to have the wifey hold the SL while I unplugged the battery!
I’ll have to wait and see how it flies, but I think I’m going to like it. After some minor adjustments in the mixes the ground handling seems perfect. I’ve been running it around inside the house ITS COLD OUTSIDE. It still has the nice drifting turns and is pretty much the same control as the PRO mode in the stock SL.
I like how the elevons came out, I was going to put them in the hull, and set one down in the nacelle so it wouldn’t fall off the SL and thought, “Hey this thing fits pretty good in there.” Routing the servo wire between the plastic and foam leading edge with the ESC wires really cleaned up the installation and kept every thing inline with the CG. My Brushless SL comes in at 10.4oz 1.6oz heavier than my “stock SL” I can’t wait to go fly it.
