Those BEC connectors are rated at 3 amps. In most applicatons, they're fine up to 8 amps. I have a bunch of models that draw 8 amps or less, and the connectors remain at ambient temperature even after a long full-throttle flight.
Some people actually use them in 10-amp systems, but I find that current draw is pushing it as the connectors become warm after five minutes or so. For applications pulling up to 10 amps, the two-pin Micro Deans will work fine, and you can actually push those to about 12 amps or so without too much trouble.
