Browser-Based Cross-Country Soaring Game

http://www.urban75.org/useless/glider.html

You'll need the Java runtime installed to use this game.

The controls take a little getting used to, but here is the gist:

You are the yellow wing.
Hit <y> to start flying.
Use <z> and <x> to bank left and right, respectively.

Fly under the big grey "clouds" and hit <space bar> to start a thermal
turn.
Notice the shadow that is cast is equivalent to the thermal strength,
and they will die off eventually.

To exit a thermal turn, just hit either <z> or <x> to bail out,
hopefully in the direction of the next thermal!

There is also ridge lift!

You can change your perspective using the number keys <1>, <2>, <3> and
<4>, but <1> is the one following your plane.

(I didn't write this, so I don't know why you can't play it )
