I was going to wait until I put the finishing touches on her before I posted in here. But with no airbrush and having as much fun as I am flying her... it may never get finished. So here it is. For the GWS crowd. My Hermann Graf replica.
ME109 Slope / glassed with .75oz. cloth/minwax.
Towerpro BM2410-21t motor
Eflite 20amp brushless ESC
1350mah 3cell with an 8x4 prop and 1250mah 2cell with an 8x6 prop
Elevator and Ailerons only, no rudder.
With an AUW of 14oz with the 2cell and a shade under 15oz. with the 3cell, she flies great either way. With the 2cell it takes about 90% throttle to keep the airspeed up enough to fly her well though. And vertical is limited obviously. The 3cell is a better flier but not by any great amount. Either way it's a dream to fly. Looks awesome in the air too!
My one tip about building the ME109 : Secure the Cockpit hatch with more than the supplied magnet mount! Trust me. It'll fall off in the middle of the maiden flight if you don't.
