Been there--done that--you will find that part throttle efficiency is pretty bad as you get below 90-95% of full throttle RPM. I published plots for tests a couple years back in QF. The efficiency loss at 80% RPM was 20-30% lower than at full power if I recall the numbers right.
In many cases at part throttle a good brushed motor had better efficiency thana brushless.
