Drove it straight in the ground from about 35 feet. Broke one of my cardinal rules (Don't fly with the sun in front of you) but figured I'd be ok. All the way until the end of the 2nd battery everything was fine. Then it was me, the plane, and behind the plane - big red. Water formed in my eyes, I closed one and tried to find the plane, when I finally had an eye on it, it was too late. STRAIGHT into the ground.

What a testament to these planes though. The only damage was a bent motor shaft. The little screw holes in the spinner were filled with dirt. What a tough ol' bird! And she still looks pretty good, not quite "gallery good", but good enough when she goes streakin by me!

I've found the best (fastest) setup for me is 8x600 AE, 480, Aeronaut 6.5x4. With this setup, it flat out hauls!!!

I just removed the motor. The hit was so hard it not only bent the motor shaft, but also the face of the motor can. WOW!

That's what I get for breaking my own rules.

Gotta love foam!
