Had a ball bearing engine sitting with a plane in an Oak tree for almost a month.. Water coming off an Oak tree during a rain gets very acidic. Since I always use a high percentage of Castor, after I got this plane and engine back, I poured out the very brown water, and found out that there was no corrrosion inside the engine, event though some other metal parts inside the plane that had gotten wet were pretty well corroded, including the landing gear wires and a couple servo connectors.
