There's no link to old firmware, but if you PM me with your email address I can email it to you. But quite honestly, you'll be getting obsolete FW and lack a lot of the upgrades. Your choice of course.

I assume you've rule out the possibility of a bad USB cable or port on your Linux PC causing the problem?
