not necessarily true. ive already succeeded in writing basic rudder controlled rtl code which seems to be working so far. turns out parsing nmea strings and basic waypoint sequencing are much easier to implement than those gyro/accel algorithms. none of that tricky pid stuff. maybe some day incorporate it into the rx firmware as a option to minimize lost planes. maybe.
