Each to his own but i prefer my collets to stay on the shaft. In fact I'd rather have to replace a shaft now and again than keep loosing props, not that I've found shaft bending to be an issue when using the Hacker collet.
I fly vox props on all my planes. ,,, and my PA collets DO stay on the shafts.
