FWIW, aircraft-world still sells Hyperion 4035-14, which works very well on my Slick with 8s and a 18x8.
I know several with a 12l and 8s with a 18x8 that have lasted. My 12l on my 74 running 8s didn't last 2 flights. magnets tosses. They replaced it and I sold it. Then had a 14l properly setup on 8s and it tossed mags after about 6 flights. got a new one and sold it. I only run a hacker a30 now.
