One has to look really well but in the last picture you can see a hair-size line, that is where both parts of the rod do join at the bottom, a very unusual method. Very well made indeed. And very precise fittings all over, no sloppy fits anywhere. I was told that the builder was a precision-fitter at Republic and it shows.
