Is there a specific frequency that you recommend for use with the foxtech 5.8ghz equipment, or should I try to determine the best frequency by testing with the stock antenna?

Would I gain anything from a set of petnalobes instead of pinwheels for close range aerobatic flight?

I need to select RP-SMA Female connectors for foxtech stuff, right?

Thanks,

Dave
Hello Dave,
sorry I am a bit late at answering your questions,
for foxtec units, there is a bit more power in the first 4 channels, but you'd be hard pressed to find a real advantage in real life useable range.
I have gone far with 5705 or 5885, even if there is quite a bit of power difference.

RP-SMA is correct but you need male, as female has the threads exposed.
Pentalobes have been tested by 15-20 customers of mine and they like them but I don't know their full capability, it seems that people like the pattern which is more uniform with less blind spots, I can't say if they will go any further than pinwheels.

Regards
