Kinda depends where you put it

A heavier plane, all other things being equal, has to fly at a higher AoA for the same speed. This puts it closer to a stall. Add in the fact that the heavier plane has a higher wing loading means the stall/spin will be more pronounced.

Keeping it light has some benefits!
