It's not actually notched. What is there is a molded in filet where the vertical goes. It's on both the top and the bottom. You can see the shape of the airfoil when you look at it. You are suppose to trim this area out. The process I'm going to take is to cut the meat out but leave it too small, then file it to shape with a slightly curved emory board so that I have a nice tight fit and a perfect 90 angle to the stab. Of course, this will be done AFTER I have the stab parallel to the wing. FWIW, when I was first talking to Bruce, early last week he said if I ordered one right then the wait was going to be about 60 days. So if you want one for the spring, I wouldn't wait around too long to decide. How did I get mine so fast? Somebody backed out on an order and I was just lucky and jumped on it.
