Beaver floats

Thanks for helping me decide. I put floats on a Pico-Tiger Moth. It does fly but lacks much. I was going to try to up the power with the help of the discussion group but your super job on the Dumas Beaver conversion convinced me to try it instead.
I've only hand launched 'cuz it's been too cold to try to chase if ROW is not good -- or worse -- bringing it back is not good.
Floats will handle about 20 oz. with 1/4" of freeboard. They are 14" long -- 2 1/4" wide and 2"high. Made from scraps of blu foam picked from a construction site. They weigh in at about 1.4 oz.
Not very scale like with the wire struts but they help on the landing in grass. A little breeze keeps the Moth from "roaring" in onthe floats. Very touchy in pitch control -- but not surprising -- Iguess. Thanks for posting your craftsmanship and putting me on what should be a better path for ROW.
