Easier to cover the fuselage without the brass strut points, but I think it best to assemble the uc with the uc support struts at this point. The built up areas around the strut points were covered to give the sheet doculam better adhesion there.

Thinking I can get away with using spruce for the uc support struts.
A small sheet metal screw passes through a hole in the brass tab.
Excess screw was cut away with a fiber wheel. Thinking that the cutting wheel will be used to trim the excess brass tab. If it can be kept away from the body of the shock assembly....
