Setup so far is the Fatshark Predator glasses with 250mw 5.8ghz tx and unlabeled camera:

The video tx is attached with strapping tape. The camera is screwed to a homemade aluminum bracket which is screwed and glued to the canopy.

Also Spironet antennas, since I've read antennas are the quickest way to improve range:

Controller is Dx6i with AR6115 receiver. I have no booster yet. However, I'm looking at a patch antenna for the Dx6i to ensure the controller range is greater than the video range:

Range video also sells a 1 watt 2.4 mhz booster.

Here's some info:

Right now, I just want to be sure my RC control extends beyond video range so the plane doesn't drop out of the sky. If I get serious about long distance, I may switch to 900 mhz or 1.2 ghz video transmission.

UPDATE - just ordered the 2.4 ghz patch antenna from RangeVideo.
