I have the 50-60 270Kv, but have not put it on a plane yest. Seems well made and magnets well glued unlike the other Turnigy motors. I don't know if this means anything, but the windings wire is definitely thicker than that used in the Turnigys I already have (all Gold motors), so maybe it can handle more amps, but I agree that 90A seems awfully high. While not necessarily reliable, user reviews of this motor on HK site seem good so far, which is not always the case for their other motors.

I would take that 90A with a big grain of salt. I bought this for a 1/7 Sea Fury on which I plan to run either a 16x16 APC pattern prop or a 5-blade custom (probably 16x14) from Zinger. Both will be 8S setup at this point. I'll definitely bench test before it goes in the plane and report back on how it seems to handle high amps.
