For me, it was a great machine for instant success. But it is not a one size fits all. I learned the basics with a working machine on my table (Bluumax) which made it fun. If I knew then what I know now I would have built my machine. That is not to discredit the Bluu', I just would have had a hard time building one at the time without loosing some hair.

One of the biggest sources of backlash is the motors themselves. The motor shaft will move radially under enough pressure. I had this problem even with my new upgrade motors on my upgrade machine.

On my new machine, I took the motors apart and removed a spring washer and replaced it with rings of heavy card stock. I used just the right amount to pretension the motor bearings and now I have eliminated that backlash.
