The original Weasel-Evos were made from white EPP. In the last year or so, the planes have been switched to EPO mainly for manufacturing reasons (too many QA issues with the EPP).

The EPP versions had more variation in finished weight (i.e. some were blown with denser EPP and came out heavier, others were lighter). The EPO planes are much more consistent in this regard.

The EPP planes are slightly less stiff than the EPO, but they do not dent in the same way that the EPO planes do. It's not that big of a deal with the EPO, as you can use various techniques to remove the dents, but things like the nose & etc. can get crushed over time, whereas on the EPP plane this is not as big of a deal (it's not even that big of a deal on the EPO planes).

Long story short, there was some drama associated with the move to EPO from the EPP-loving diehards (myself included in that group), but at the end of the day, the EPO planes fly just as well, and they've proven to be very durable.

On the plus side, quality control and repeatability has gone up with the EPO planes, so you can be assured of getting a more consistent product in the event you decide to replace an airframe. That's a very nice thing IMHO... you can basically drop in your gear and be flying within a very short amount of time, and have that magic new plane feeling immediately with less need to go through the whole trimming/dialing-in process.
